Accessibility at Cognitive HealthTech
Cognitive HealthTech is being developed to help make cognitive health information more understandable and accessible. We believe the same principle should apply to our website and digital experiences.
Our approach
We aim to design our website so that as many people as possible can use it comfortably, including people with visual, hearing, motor, cognitive or neurodiverse needs. We aim to:
- use clear, readable language wherever possible
- maintain sufficient contrast between text and backgrounds
- support keyboard navigation
- provide meaningful labels for links, buttons and form fields
- structure pages logically using headings and consistent navigation
- provide alternative text for meaningful images
- avoid unnecessary flashing, rapid animation or distracting motion
- support users who prefer reduced motion
- make forms understandable and easy to complete
- design responsively across desktop, tablet and mobile devices
We aim to work towards recognised accessibility best practice, including relevant principles within the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
Cognitive accessibility
Because our work relates directly to cognitive health, cognitive accessibility is particularly important to us.
We continually review how information is presented so that complex scientific or healthcare concepts can be communicated without unnecessary jargon or cognitive load.
Where specialist terminology is necessary, we aim to provide sufficient context to help visitors understand it.
Help us improve
Accessibility is an ongoing process.
If you experience difficulty using this website, encounter inaccessible content, or have suggestions about how we could improve your experience, please contact us.
Email: contact@cognitivehealthtech.co.uk
We will do our best to respond and provide information in an alternative format where reasonably possible.
