Victoria Burnip has been nominated by the Northern Health Science Alliance for the Northern Innovation Women list, recognising women driving meaningful innovation and impact across the North.
Cognitive HealthTech Co-Founder and CEO Victoria Burnip has been nominated by the Northern Health Science Alliance (NHSA) for the Northern Innovation Women list.
The recognition celebrates women across the North who are helping to drive innovation, create new opportunities and build solutions with meaningful social and economic impact.
For Victoria, the nomination reflects a view of innovation that goes beyond technology for technology's sake. At the heart of her approach are three principles: empathy, identifying real societal challenges that affect people's everyday lives; creativity, developing ideas that are not simply new, but genuinely useful; and impact, ensuring innovation ultimately makes a measurable difference to people and communities.
This philosophy is central to Cognitive HealthTech's work in brain and cognitive health, where the company is developing technology intended to help people and healthcare professionals better understand cognitive change over time.
Victoria's work also extends beyond Cognitive HealthTech through her support of SMEs and university spin-outs navigating their own paths from innovation to impact.
The nomination comes as part of a wider recognition of women shaping the future of health, science, technology and entrepreneurship across the North.
